Flower Mound Week 12 October 31, 2016 Week Sixty-nine

Hey y'all!

This week was so great! We had some miraculous events happen that are great testimonies to the fact that we're on the Lord's errand here. In this area, most of the time we spend our time out finding people to teach. Most people aren't receptive to us, but we still keep trying anyways. However, now people are popping up left and right, almost completely without work on our part! The first is a lady named Brandice. We were called by a member of a local congregation who works near us, and he invited us to come out to his work. We did so, and he introduced us to Brandice, somebody he works with. They had been speaking with each other, and the topic of religion came up. Over the past few weeks they continued to discuss the church, and it got to the point where she decided she wanted to get baptized- before we even met her! She lives in our ward, and right now she says she wants to be baptized in January! We'll see where this goes, but we're super excited for her!

The next person to pop up is a woman named Trina. She had been taught by missionaries about three years ago, was successfully interviewed to be baptized, came to church several times, and then the missionaries
stopped all contact with her with no explanation why. We stopped by a few weeks ago, as I mentioned earlier, only to find her having health problems that needed immediate attention. We helped her call 911, and stayed with her until the ambulances arrived. Fast forward to this week when we stopped by to see how she was doing, and we learned A LOT. She told us she didn't get baptized because she had a very bad smoking problem. However, she quit smoking two years ago (meaning she can get baptized) and wants to start meeting with us again. We're not sure how much she remembers from earlier, but we'll keep teaching her.

Also, the time for transfers has come. I'm going to be staying here, but my companion Elder Parsons will be going to Arlington. My new companion is somebody named Elder Frost; I've never met him, but I hear he's fairly new to the Mission. With a little bit of hope, faith, and hard work we'll see some miracles this next transfer!

Hope y'all have a great week!

Elder Jensen
